Coombehayes Barn is situated on the Devon, Dorset border, just one & a half miles from the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis, gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site.

In Lyme Regis you can visit the Dinosaur Museum, Town Museum, working watermill, theatre, and cinema, or simply enjoy the winding streets of the old town, and the numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants.

The famous Cobb, surrounding the ancient harbour, is famous for its literary connections, featuring in both Jane Austins 'Persuasion' and John Fowles' novel & film 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'.

There are no end of interesting places to visit, all within easy reach by car. Fossil hunting on Charmouth beach, taking the miniature train at Beer or the tram at Seaton, exploring Thomas Hardy's 'Casterbridge' (Dorchester). Forde Abbey & many NT sites.
Outdoor activities include Coastal and Country walks, golf, sailing, horse riding, fishing, bird watching, and many more.
